The Calgary Interfaith Council was pleased to be invited by the Tibetan Association of Alberta to help celebrate the 90th Birthday of the Dalai Lama. This invitation was extended as a reflection of the Dali Lama’s commitment to interfaith dialogue. A number of our members brought greetings from their faith traditions: Eva Torn Thomas, Baha’i; Alex Andrews, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints; Michael Duggan, Catholic; Linda Dudar, Ukranian Christian; Dr. Harjot Singh, Sikh. A Year of Compassion has been named in honour of this auspicious ocassion.
